I'm due in late March or early April, so when the time is right to start moving out of pyjamas and into running shoes (May / June?), the weather should actually be appropriate for me to be excuse-less.
In comes... the jogging stroller. Early summer of 2011, I started a jogging routine that I actually kept up for as many weeks as I could until I found out I was pregnant (and for some reason developed this insane and illegitimate fear of hurting the baby while running, so I moved to swimming).
So I know I can do it. I can run. Of course I can. With the right shoes, and the right jogging bra, I am unstoppable.
Well, I'm less stoppable than I would be if I were walking, because you probably couldn't catch up to me! Unless you're super fit! Then stop reading and judging me!
So I have no excuse for not jogging this summer. (I have a note on my calendar to go back and read this blog, post-baby - point and laugh now, future Sam! You are stuck because you made it a public blog and now you must do this! At least you have a baby!)
Especially if I have this sweet little gadget:

JEEP Overland Jogging Stroller - $252.99 @ Sears Canada |
So, now that we have a plan for a crib, a stage 1 and stage 2 car-seat, and a pram (for the newborn stages), I think it is safe to start saving up for this next big purchase this spring. Members of our family have offered to help chip-in (which I am ever grateful for) and, if/when this (or another) jogging stroller is in my hands and ready to use in the summer, I'll be quick to review!
that's great Sam good for you!! I have made a similar vow to myself -- I'm going to be a WALKER - baby steps for me! I'm going with the Britax Be Agile -- and I'm hoping to go on daily walks with Baby Belle. Plus maybe breastfeeding will help us loose weight? I dunno -- but if it does I'm breastfeeding every hour..lol..joking....
ReplyDeletehow about this- for every pound i lose i will sponsor $1 toward your dream stroller? That way we both get something out of me losing weight! LOL (btw from what I understand you lose about 2-3 regular pounds for every fat pound- so altogether they'd like me to lose about 50-60 pounds!)
