If you have a second (2 minutes really), watch this video that both convicted and inspired me produced by International Justice Mission:
This Christmas, I want to do MORE than just be a part of the $450 000 000 North American Christmas budget.
My goal is to raise $125 for Charity:Water this Christmas season. $125 will provide sustainable, continued clean water for 6 people. I know where $75 of that will come from. Will you help me find the remaining $50? Please consider donating $5 at www.mycharitywater.org/ButlerChristmas
Here are a few reasons charity : water is the charity of my choice this Christmas season:
100% of the donations fund the project.
100% of the donations made through my campaign go directly to supporting 1 water project. $125 will help 6 people, which represent 1 family.

Decreasing infant mortality rates.
Although there are a few other extremely worthy causes that I would certainly suggest contributing to, I currently have a passion for providing clean water because I know that clean water helps reduce disease which helps decrease infant mortality rates which means more healthy babies. And I have a baby in my belly. I feel there is a direct link between me and this cause for that reason at this time.
"Every 19 seconds a mother loses a child due to a water-related illness."
I get to see the final product. So do you.
When the project my campaign contributes to is finished (and the funds are officially released December 29 2011) - so the project will be complete 18 months after that - I can provide all of my supporters with a GPS code which will allow them to see the project using Google Maps technology. It's real living proof that your money = their water.
I know where $75 of my $125 will come from.
I have a plan to gather $75 for this campaign but I need a hand with the other $50.
You can support the campaign by visiting www.mycharitywater.org/ButlerChristmas and will receive a tax receipt for your contribution.
