Pride!

I have somebody in my life that is making a true difference in this world, and I just want to give her a shoutout because she is, for me, a major source of pride.

This is for you, Stacey!

My best friend Stacey is a world-changing, dynamic, amazing woman who is currently preparing to leave for Swaziland tomorrow with her mother, brother and friend to set up a library (with the thousands of books they & their church have collected). This wonderful team even made it to the paper!
A family the team visited last year - this little boy's will eventually be going to the school, and using the library resources, that the team are providing :)

I ask that as you read this blog, that you pray a quick prayer for the team & hey - while you're at it, join their Facebook group! They could use prayers for... among others...
  • safety
  • security
  • peace
  • guidance
  • discernment
  • wisdom
  • safety again
  • funding
  • fun
  • to make a real difference (let's face it, we know they will!)

If you feel like there is something you can do to support this group - through funding or sending books - please contact me & I will give you the appropriate contact with the team. These guys are worthy of your funding for a few reasons:

1) they are supporting literacy in Africa. Literacy leads to education which leads to social change. It has been proven time and again that literacy rates directly correspond with quality of life.
2) they are not about sending over a large group of people to get "the mission trip experience". There are other resources for that. This group is just about making social change in this particular community in Swaziland.
3) God has called them, they listened.
