i realize that pride is not a virtue,
but how about being excited for your accomplishments?!
i can do that.
anyhow, today John and I baked, intentionally, vegan
and low fat.
it's an exciting day in the Butlerhome because.. well..
we are one very big
sweet tooth.
our love for food has brought us together and through
some of the most difficult times.
yes, it seems ridiculous
disconnected
but there is nothing as relaxing as a cooking day,
as grocery shopping and finding good deals,
as making friends with local producers and distributors,
as trying new things together,
comforting things,
unique things,
disgusting - throw it out NOW - things.
and today we dug back to the roots of our dating relationship,
when all we could afford was a few ingredients,
(okay - we can still only afford a few ingredients!),
and got creative.
(plus a wholesale distributor gave us a week's worth of fresh
produce for..
"ok guys i'll cut you a deal - you can just have it for..
5 bucks"
"really?! are you sure?!"
"yeah. have a great day, stay warm")
blessed.

So today we had a "store meeting" in future shop. This action would be seen in my store as "creating a customer for life". LOL. But seriously this is an adorable story :)
ReplyDeleteit's true - he definitely created a customer for life! i'll keep going back.
