The Little Things

Sometimes my problem with blogging is that I only share the "big stuff" in life: the big ideas, the challenges, the major events. But it was pointed out to me in a recent discussion with my mastermind group - and I realized that in my own experience this is very true - that you get to know people not through the big things, but through the little things.

So I thought I'd let you in some of the little things of life lately.
Craft tutorial coming soon.
I've been helping out with the kids ministry at our church. Talk about fulfilling. I've believed for years that if you do what you are passionate about doing, God will not only bless what you're doing you, as a person, will feel better. I am passionate about kids ministry. I feel amazing when I'm helping with it - whether the administrative aspect, or the hopping-around-the-room-like-an-adult-lady-sized-frog aspect.

Baking buddies!
I'm having a bit of a struggle with 30 Meals in 30 Days. I am going to meet my "30 meals" goal but probably not in 30 days. That's okay. Hey, if you have any new meals you think I should try, let me see 'em.

The Caterpillar is now walking. She looks like this.

We look like this.

The Caterpillar is teething. Which means she is nursing way more. Fortunately for me, life looks like this today. I even put her in the moby wrap. I'm a happy mama to be getting lots of snuggles. And my ears are bleeding from her screaming. I guess that part isn't awesome.

I planted a strawberry & blueberry patch at my mom's house. I won't see any harvest this summer but this is kind of a long-term payoff thing.

John got a Canon 6D a few weeks ago to act as a backup to the 5DmkII. He loves it.

John and I are doing a The Office marathon. It started when we were sick a few weeks ago and now we can't go a day without getting all wrapped up in the Jim & Pam romance. (Today we watched the episode where Jim FINALLY asks Pam on a date. We high fived. It was cute.)

I made mango & yogurt ice pops, and they got stuck in the popsicle maker thing, and the sticks only came out, and it did not look like this.

And we had three weddings this past weekend so my life is a mix of editing and folding laundry and writing copy and tonight I'm leading a mastermind group with a basic design/photoshop tutorial and I guess I should start planning for that.

Those are the little things of today. :)

  1. Ahhh I am so jealous of your strawberry and blueberry plants. I would love to have a garden but simply do not have the time. Thanks for leading the mastermind group last night. What I saw was awesome!
