One of my goals for the next few months is to get involved in community online to make the most of my time spent online, and leverage the gifts that God has given me through the mommy-blogging community I am so blessed to enter into. I have been learning that there are so many other women out there, like me, who, like me, are seeking encouragement, knowledge, wisdom and overall growth in every aspect of their life - and want to support each other through the blogging journey.
I have joined the Influence Network and love being active in forums, and last night I took my very first online satellite class "Writing Through the Seasons" led by Annie Downs, which left me craving more. Unfortunately, I experienced 0% balloons or glitter, which I was really looking forward to based on the intro video, but I'll let that slide. Maybe glitter is handed out at the Conference. I'd drive 9 hrs. for some Jesus-loving glitter.
But I digress.
Through Influence, I found A Royal Daughter, who has begun a prayer challenge for 2013, encouraging & equipping all people - bloggers, tweeters, all social media-people and non social media-people - to pray for aspects of their lives.
My new favourite picture of us from 2012: The year I loosened up & stopped complaining about cigars. And started holding very small objects so they had to face upwards. |
Did you know that you can improve your marriage by praying for it? Even if you are already over-the-moon with your marital relationship, God can make it EVEN BETTER. If your relationship is rocky and there is hurt, God can heal it. If your relationship is lonely and isolated, God can restore. If your marriage lacks in communication, God can open you up to each other. And again, I'll say it again, because this is what I needed to hear in summer of 2012: Even if you are already over-the-moon with your marital relationship, God can make it EVEN BETTER. God can heal the hurts you didn't even realize were wounded.
So that brings me to #PrayerDare for February of 2013: Praying for your husband. You can read more about #PrayerDare here, and you can download the FREE prayer cards to print, or make your desktop background, or make your Facebook profile, or whatever you want to do, right here.
Come and join in on the community by praying for your husband, or future spouse, or a special man in your life, and search twitter for #PrayerDare to join in the conversation.

And while you're at it, consider the purchase of The Power of a Praying Wife - both the text itself and the workbook. (If you, like me, are a grammar nerd, you'll notice that Amazon has a hard time spelling "guide". It's OK, Amazon. There's a book for that.) The workbook will take you to places you didn't know you could go.
Fo'realz.
Thank you SO much for sharing this!
