I'm not big on making resolutions I know I won't keep. But I am a goal-setter, and so I've decided to set some "goals" for myself on what happens to be New Years Day!
These goals are based on Luke 2:52:
"Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and favour with God and man"
Last Year's Resolutions: Check!
1) Character Building: be more patient (unfortunately, this required a LOT of scenarios which had to teach me patience... and I'm still not "there"!)
2) lose15 lbs (I did acheive this goal, however by the end of 2011 I was back up to the 15 lbs I lost - but this time it's thanks to 27.5 weeks of pregnancy - so the goal has been met!)
3) go through the story of Christmas biblically and historically (see this very recent blogpost)
4) graduate University with a double major (done)
5) I probably had a couple more but those are the ones I can recall! (and I probably didn't achieve them!)
2012 Resolutions: Now Let's See How Blogging Really Holds You Accountable...
1) Wisdom: read the Globe and Mail (at least the headlines) every morning on the iPad
2) Favour with man: encourage / "cheerlead" others much more - starting right at home with my soon-to-arrive-babe and my hubby
3) Stature: eat healthier - cut out (it pains me to type this) a list of foods and stick to it. (and still be gracious with myself, because I'm having a baby!)
4) Favour with God: read the whole entire Bible using the M'Cheyne Plan (this thankfully is an initiative being led by my church!)
