Grandpa and the Grammys

Watching the 2011 Grammy Awards with my Grandpa and a glass of wine, produced the following comments.

  1. In unknowing reference to Lady Gaga: "So, is that a woman, or..."
  2. "This music is crap. That guy's clapping 'cause he's the only one that's getting something-something from her. He has to."
  3. "I bet she doesn't look so good in the morning. It's like, you know, 'What did I do last night? You can get your own coffee'."
  4. "Look at that - it's all on fire. How do you do it?" ("Grandpa, that's video fire") "Yeah. Well. I'm just saying - what do I know? Fire."
  5. "Mmm. These are good. I've never had these before." ("Yes you have, Grandpa, they're chocolate chips.")
  6. A black lady walks onto the stage: "Lady Gaga again?"
  7. "I thought Eminems were candies? Biggest private company in the world, by the way, Mars is."
  8. "So, with rap, it's not just black guys that can do it? There's white rap, too?"
  9. "Her hair: A bird could be resting in it. Just a little one. A humming bird or something, you wouldn't notice."
