That little shiny thing in the middle? That's Canadian policy.
Life is one big group project, and I'm okay with that - it's the smaller ones I'm not so fond of.
Currently I'm working in a group of 5 very smart, very forward-moving women who will, undoubtedly, make fantastic lawyers or, you know, wealthy-and-deserving-of-it-people. I always hate to be in the groups where nobody is willing to work, or where one or two people pick up the slack of everyone else. Thankfully this is not one of those cases. In fact, this is the first experience where the entire group is contributing equally, almost competing to contribute the most. The problem is, we all have different conceptions of what we want out of this project and, as a result, are extremely limited in our ability to get this crazy little thing called leadership. Everyone's a leader. Makes sense. We're in a leadership class.
Currently we're wrestling with a 35-page policy brief discussing how Canada should improve its' response to epidemics and we all seem to be either at a loss or on entirely different pages.
I have a feeling the final mark will bode well for us. 'Till then.
